SROBOT INTER-SCHOOL CONTEST 2017 – 2018

  1. Participation
  • Students from high schools, in Ho Chi Minh City (excluding students from gifted Schools).
  • Contestants register for the SRobot Open Contest in teams.
  • Each school may enter 04 teams in the contest.
  • Each team may have a maximum of 03 team members.
  • The number of teams in the contest is limited to first 150 registered teams.

2. Contest time

  • All teams compete in March 18th, 2018 at SaigonTech.
  • All teams prepare the coding in the morning (7:30AM) and compete in the afternoon.
  • Contest Rules
  • The examination will be provided by the Organizers on the day of the competition.
  • Teams will code as requested (Pascal, C / C ++). Then load the program into the robot to compete.
  • Each team must have their own robots to code and compete.
  • Teams must prepare their own multidirectional wheel robot.
  • Robot must satisfy these requirements:
  • Use three motors with three Omni wheels.
  • Moto’s maximum speed is 360 rpm.
  • Omni wheel’s diameter must be 58 mm (± 3mm). This requirement ensures your robot can be used for next year’s competition.
  • Your robot must fit in a 350 mm diameter circle.
  • Other parts: freedom of choice.

Notes: Non-compliant Robot will be disqualified

  • All teams can use reference materials. Before the exam time, teams copy the materials to the computer to assist in the examination process.
  • Teams are not allowed to use internet during the test.
  • Any team that has the following behaviors during contest will be disqualified:
  • The member of team is different from the initial registration.
  • Using communication equipment during the examination.
  • Discussing with other teams.
  • Receiving external support in any way.
  • Using the source code of another team.
  • Intentionally damage another team’s robots.
  • Using another team’s robots.
  • Not complying with referee’s instruction.

Referees are appointed by Organizing Committee (OC). Competition results and testing results of Robots’ specifications are decided by the referees.

3. Competition Form

  • Teams compete in the order arranged by the OC.
  • Teams compete according to the questions of the OC.
  • The teams have the best performances of the competition will receive prizes. If these teams have the same ranking, the result will be decided through their performances of the extra rounds on the other terrain (without changing the source code and the robots).
  • Any questions and complaints will be resolved by OC.

Notes: During the competition, if the robot is damaged (the wheel is loose, the battery is loose, the wire is dropped, etc.), the robot’s performance is the official distance that the robot can go.
